Welcome to Flock and Forest! A woman-owned business founded on the belief that the most beautiful things are created slowly, intentionally, and sustainably. We specialize in crafting durable, beautiful handwoven towels, artisan handwoven rugs, and richly natural-dyed yarns, designed to bring a little bit of nature's rhythm into your everyday life. We also make our own maple syrup and produce log-grown mushrooms.
Our Story: From Handloom to Home
Flock and Forest began with a deep appreciation for the time-honored craft of weaving and a desire to do things in a more sustainable way. What started as a personal passion for creating handwoven towels evolved into a mission: to share these unique, long-lasting textiles with others.
Our name, Flock and Forest, is more than just a label—it's a statement of our vision. It represents the ultimate goal of the business: to establish a sustainable farm focused on agroforestry (the 'Forest') and to eventually run a local fiber mill (the 'Flock').
Our Vision: We are actively working toward a local food and fiber supply chain. By eventually creating a mill, we hope to provide local sheep farmers with the means to turn their raw fleece into valuable, finished products, keeping resources local, building stronger community connections, and a sustainable fibershed.

I’m Leslie, the weaver, dyer, and dreamer behind Flock and Forest. From preparing the loom to carefully applying the dye—I manage every step of the process. For me, fiber arts is a grounding practice that connects me to the history of textiles and the future of sustainable farming.
